Message from Chair

Hello from the General Practice Mental Health Standards Collaboration (GPMHSC), and welcome to the autumn edition of our newsletter.

Specific populations project

The GPMHSC is hard at work on a new project, developing resources for specific populations to help GPs provide the best care to these groups. These resources will include a variety of materials such as flow charts of questions, administrative guides and references, referral and support services and more. We’re excited to share updates with GPs on this project as it progresses, and we’ll share the resources when they become available.

New $200 FPS CPD subsidy for GPs

The GPMHSC has received funding to assist GPs in maintaining their FPS registration. We are very excited to be able to support GPs in doing this work, especially as we proceed towards the end of the current triennium and will be offering a new $200 subsidy. Information about how to apply for the subsidy is available at the GPMHSC website.

Meet the GPMHSC team

The GPMHSC will be attending a number of conferences this year, including GPCE in both Sydney and Melbourne. We look forward to seeing more details about the GPMHSC’s exhibition at these conferences and future events.

Assoc Prof Morton Rawlin
Chair, GPMHSC
