Enhance your Mental Healthcare Skills with training in the Initial Assessment and Referral –Decision
Gold Coast Primary Health Network provides online training and support to assist GPs and other mental health clinicians in using the Initial Assessment and Referral – Decision Support Tool (IAR-DST) for mental healthcare.
The IAR-DST is undertaken using eight initial assessment domains that are used to match people with a mental health need to one of five appropriate levels of care. The eight domains help to distil essential information and identify key signals (i.e., red flags) that are critical for decision making.
This 2-hour workshop will help you:
- Learn to match patients to the right level of care and understand local mental health referral pathways.
- Explore the newly updated IAR-DST Version 2, which includes age-based adaptations for children (5-11 years), adolescents (12-17 years), adults (18-64 years), and older adults (65+ years).
- GPs and GP Registrars will receive $300 reimbursement and RACGP CPD hours for your participation (1.5 hours in Educational Activities, 0.5 hours in Reviewing Performance).
