Free digital insomnia treatment study in Australian general practice
Flinders’ University are coordinating a research study in Australian general practice, to offer GP access to a free digital Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for insomnia (CBTi) referral pathway. The digital CBTi program is a free interactive 5-session program, whereby GPs are provided with a follow-up report for each patient at 8-weeks, 16-weeks and 24-weeks. 190 GPs around Australia are already participating and have referred ~600 patients.
The program leads to large and sustained improvements in symptoms of;
- Insomnia
- Depression
- Fatigue
- Unhelpful beliefs about sleep.
“The skills I have learned over the last 4 weeks have transformed my life. I can't believe I am sleeping so much better without the need for benzos.”
