Redeveloping mental health training to be suitable for distance-learning formats
Although some training providers are resuming delivery of face-to-face workshops, these activities may run at a limited capacity for some time. You might consider redeveloping existing training and education so they’re suitable for distance-learning formats that don’t involve face-to-face contact.
We encourage you to submit a distance-learning application to the GPMHSC, which involves providing a written response that gives:
- specific details of the distance-learning software and technology used
- details of how the software and technology will monitor and record attendance and active participation of attendees
- a clear explanation of how the distance-learning experience will align with the same requirements of face-to-face education
- details regarding interactivity and, more specifically, how the new platform will encourage participants to ask questions and interact with the facilitator and other group members.
