Distance learning applications for accredited mental health training
The GPMHSC is committed to working with our member organisations to ensure the impact on GPs’ training and educational opportunities is minimised during the COVID-19 pandemic. This includes encouraging training providers to re-develop education into formats that do not involve face-to-face contact.
Training providers are encouraged to submit a distance learning application to the GPMHSC Committee.
This will involve providing a written response addressing:
- specific details on the distance learning software and technology used
- how the software and technology will monitor and record attendance and active participation of attendees
- clear explanation on how the distance learning experience will align with the same requirements of face-to-face education
- details regarding interactivity and, more specifically, how the new platform will encourage participants to ask questions and interact with the facilitator and other group members.
