Distance learning in the COVID-safe environment
The recent spike in COVID-19 cases in some states has meant the reintroduction of restrictions that may affect the delivery of face-to-face workshops. We recommend you consider alternatives, such as redeveloping existing training and education via distance-learning formats that don’t involve face-to-face contact.
Training providers can now submit a distance-learning application to the GPMHSC by providing a written response that:
- gives specific details of the distance-learning software and technology used
- addresses how the software and technology monitors and records attendance and active participation of attendees
- offers a clear explanation on how the distance-learning experience aligns with the same requirements of face-to-face education
- outlines details about interactivity and, more specifically, how the new platform encourages participants to ask questions and interact with the facilitator and other group members.
