Trial insomnia program for patients with GP referral – Flinders University
Cognitive behavioural therapy for insomnia (CBT-I) is one of the first-line treatments for insomnia. CBT-I targets the underlying causes of insomnia, resulting in improvements for many months and years. CBT-I is also effective for patients with co-morbid mental and physical health conditions.
To overcome the limited access to CBT-I treatment and referral options, Flinders University is trialling a self-guided online CBT-I program for patients consisting of five weekly sessions of 20–30 minutes.
You can refer patients with insomnia to the study. Eligible patients get access to the digital CBT-I program immediately or after an eight-week waiting period (randomised controlled trial conditions).
